Spring Equinox Cold Plunge
Details
Saturday, March 21 | 3:00 PM | Golden, CO
The first day of spring and you're going to spend part of it standing in Clear Creek on purpose. Welcome to The Uncomfortable Club.
Here's the plan: We meet at the Golden Public Library at 3:00 PM. We wait 15 minutes for stragglers because the kind of person who shows up to a cold plunge in March deserves a grace period. Then we walk to our spot on Clear Creek and get in the water. Voluntarily. With our whole bodies.
After we've questioned every decision that led us here, we'll warm up, change into dry clothes, and walk 5 minutes to Miner's Saloon for a celebratory firstish-day-of-spring shot. Because you'll have earned it.
What to bring: Something to plunge in (swimsuit, shorts, whatever you're willing to freeze in). Warm dry clothes to change into after. A towel. Sandals or water shoes for the creek bed. A willingness to make a sound you haven't made since childhood.
What's provided: Hot water and tea on site for warming up after.
What to know: Cold water plunging is safe for most people but it's not nothing. If you've never done one before, reach out to Adam beforehand with any questions. We'll cover basic breathwork and how to enter the water before anyone gets in. This isn't a cannonball contest. Go at your own pace, stay as long as you want, and get out when your body says get out.
Parking: The Golden Public Library has free parking, but its kind of park at your own risk there. Street parking is also available nearby.
