Plunge at the Equinox

Equal light and dark. From here the dark wins for six months.
The equinox hits at 6:05pm on the dot. That's when we get in.
We meet by the Golden Public Library, walk down to a spot on Clear Creek together, and get in the water. That's the event. Home in time for dinner.

6:30 Out. Dry off, warm up, watch the light go.
7:00 Done

Water's usually mid-50s this time of year. Cold enough to get your attention, not cold enough to be a problem. Get in as deep as you want, get out whenever you want. No experience needed and nobody's counting.

Bring
Towel
Full change of dry clothes, including socks
Warm layers for after, more than you think
Shoes you can get wet, the rocks are slick
Something hot to drink if that's your thing
Parking is street or the library lot. Check the signs.

Hooga House in Golden is 10 minutes away and open till 9. Two saunas, three cold tubs, hot showers. They require reservations, so book your own spot ahead of time if you're in. I'll be hanging there after.
