About us

We're a bunch of 20s and 30s-somethings in Brisbane who love to say yes to things and figure out the logistics later 😅

The Unplanned Club is for anyone who wants to get out more, try new things, and actually meet cool people.
Whether it's catching a gig on a Tuesday night, wandering through a market on a Saturday, going for a hike we probably should've trained for, or just grabbing dinner somewhere new, we're into it!

There's no pressure, no awkwardness, and absolutely no corporate icebreakers.

If you've recently moved to Brisbane, want to expand your circle, or just want an excuse to get off the couch, you're already one of us

A lot of our events are "tag along" style, meaning someone's already going to a gig, exhibition, or festival and posts it up for others to join.
If a few of us are heading to the same thing, we'll usually organise a drink or bite before or after so we can actually hang out properly.

Also, if you love organising things and want to help run this little club, we'd love a co-organiser!

## What to Expect

  • Gigs, live music, and whatever's on around Brisbane
  • Dinners, drinks, and casual weekend hangouts
  • Themed dinner parties hosted by members (anyone can put their hand up to host!)
  • Hikes, beach days, and outdoor adventures (fitness level: enthusiastic beginner is fine)
  • Markets, art shows, workshops, and anything creative that catches our eye
  • "Tag along" events where we're already going to something and you're welcome to join
  • Pre-event meetups and post-event debriefs so we can actually chat, not just stand in a crowd
  • Events whenever the mood strikes, not on a rigid schedule

## Group Rules / Guidelines

  1. Be decent. Treat everyone the way you'd want to be treated. We're all here to have a good time.
  2. Newbies are always welcome. If it's someone's first event, say hello. We were all the new person once.
  3. RSVP honestly. If you can't make it, just update your RSVP so we know numbers. No hard feelings, ever.
  4. No selling, promoting, or trying to recruit people. This is a social group, not a networking event.
