🌐 Unwifeable Collective – Second Online Meetup & Community Introduction
Details
Welcome everyone, both returning members and women joining us for the first time.
Since our community is beyond New York and we have new members discovering us every day, this online meetup will serve as a warm re-introduction to who we are, what we stand for, and what we’re building together.
🌸 Who This Meetup Is For
Women who:
• Have intentionally chosen not to enter heterosexual marriage, or are questioning it
• Want friendships not centered on dating or men
• Value feminist analysis, autonomy, and critical thinking
• Want a supportive, honest community
• Love sharing ideas from the kinds of feminist books and articles most people never read but that actually liberate us
Members from any location are welcome to join this online session.
💬 What We’ll Do in This Meetup
This online gathering will be a gentle, welcoming space where we will:
• Introduce ourselves
• Review what we discussed in our first meeting
• Share our reasons for joining the group
• Discuss themes like autonomy, patriarchal systems, and redefining our lives
• Brainstorm future topics or interest-based subgroups (books, hobbies, hikes, journaling, wellness, political analysis, etc.)
• Make space for questions, reflections, and anything you want to bring
And of course, you can come and go as needed. No pressure.
🌱 Upcoming Community Ideas (Optional Discussion)
If time allows, we may explore:
• A separate session for women curious about why even “good” men don’t improve the marriage system
• Budget-friendly activities that center simple pleasures
• Collective strategies for dealing with workplace or societal prejudice
• A shared document of interests/hobbies to help match members with similar passions
• Ways we can support each other in building a life beyond dating
💛 A Note
This is a community rooted in care. You are free to share, listen, rest, or just exist quietly in the space.
You can also leave at any point if you need to, no explanations required.
We’re building something new together.
Thank you for being here.
