About us
The UX Educators and Mentors Collective is a space for those of us who spend our time teaching design, whether in classrooms, bootcamps, corporate workshops, or through informal 1:1 mentoring. We know that helping others learn UX is a distinct skill set from practicing it, and it often comes with a unique set of challenges. This group is intended to be a supportive community where we can trade notes on curriculum development, discuss how to give effective feedback, and navigate the frustrations and rewards of guiding new designers into the field.
We keep our gatherings informal and focused on conversation. Our goal is to create a reliable network where we can talk through the harder parts of teaching, share resources that have actually worked for our students, and learn from each other's experiences. Whether you are a seasoned instructor or just starting to mentor junior designers, you are welcome here. We look forward to meeting you and building a community that makes the work of design education a little bit easier for everyone.
