The Arizona Millennial Hiking Group
(formerly known as The Valley's Millennial Hiking Group) is a hiking/outdoors group for folks in the millennials age range (born between 1981 to 1996) who are residents of Arizona to make new friendships, exercise in the great outdoors & enjoy the beautiful scenery Arizona has to offer.
This group will primarily focus on hikes in and around the Phoenix area of Arizona of all ability levels (easy, moderate, and hard), but this group will also do other outdoor activities as well such as Salt River tubing (especially during the hotter months).
Whether you have lived in Arizona your whole life or just moved here last month, everyone is welcome to join. All fitness/ability levels are welcome.
Have an idea for an event? I'd love to hear it- please feel free to send me a private message & if I feel that it's something doable for the group, I'll post it on the group with you as an event host for it.

This meetup group is intended for folks in the millennials age range (born between 1981 to 1996).
Please make sure to review the entry questions for this group carefully, people who answer Yes or fail to respond to the questions by using a special character ( & . : # ect) will not be permitted entry due to safety concerns.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY: By joining this group, you agree to assume all risks, liability, and safety associated with any group function. You agree that you (or any third party) will not hold the organizers or event hosts liable for anything before, during, or after our events or group activities. Each hike/outdoor event will have information on it regarding the difficulty level - so PLEASE be aware of your own physical fitness and DO NOT attend events where you feel you may not be able to safely complete the hike and get home. At minimum, please be sure to ALWAYS wear appropriate clothing, have a fully charged cellphone, & take enough food/water. Harassment of any kind towards others in this group will not be tolerated (if you are having an issue with another member please bring it to the attention of the event host during the time of the activity so it can be dealt with).
I run meetups for fun as a social activity so regardless of whether you're looking to make new friends or looking to meet someone nice, everyone is welcome to join! 🤗 This group is a space to meet new people, not a dating site/service.
Furthermore, this is a 21+ group: no one under the age of 21 is allowed at events, including children of event attendees.
To show that this is an active group, I do like to take a group photo sometimes during events to be posted on the group (you are not required to be in the photo in order to attend an event).
After a hike, the group might go out to eat after & may go to places where alcohol may be served. This group does not condone underage drinking, drunk driving, or any sort of federally illegal drug use at events (including marijuana). Please drink responsibly and use Uber/Lyft/Rideshare if needed.
Finally, the group organizers and event hosts have the final say over who stays in this meetup group - they reserve sole authority over whether someone remains part of our group for any reason.
