What we’re about
Hi Everyone,
The Velvet Booth Writers Collective is a Chicago-based writing group that welcomes creative writers of varied backgrounds and interests to participate in a flexible writing workshop. Generally, we will write for the beginning part of the session and then transition into sharing work (for those who feel comfortable doing so). The writer sharing their work can advise the group whether they are interested critique, encouragement, or if they would appreciate just our listening ears.
Please feel free to linger and chat, as the hope is that people will make connections and build community in this space. Also, if you need to come late or leave early, that is perfectly fine and your participation is still welcome!
