Welcome to the Ventura Men's Circle, a men’s group that is part of the Mankind Project (MKP). MKP is an international men's organization that has existed since 1991. The primary purpose of MKP is the collective transformation of mankind - one man at a time. In addition to supporting local men's groups, MKP offers the New Warrior Training Adventure, a life-transforming weekend workshop, as well as other training workshops.
NOTE: Even though only 1 or 2 men are shown "attending" our events here on Meetup, most of our MKP members are not listed on this Meetup group. Our weekly meetings are usually comprised of 6-12 men and start promptly at 6:45 pm. Without prior consent of the Circle, entry will not be permitted after 7:00 pm.
COVID PRECAUTIONS: We currently meet in a large auto body shop with a big door that is 1/2 way open during the meetings. We sit in a circle with chairs at least six feet apart. We do not wear masks during the meeting at this time. Most men have been vaccinated.
The Ventura Men's Circle meets the 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesday evenings of each month in Ventura. We have a structured process that creates a safe, supportive environment for men to share their lives, and to work on issues and emotions that are self-limiting - what Carl Jung called “The Shadow”.
We encourage “owning” and confronting these issues and emotions. The work can be intense at times, and while many of us have been working on our personal growth for decades, other men have only recently begun. We come from a place of love and support for our “brothers", and we don’t ridicule, judge, or tell each other what to do.
We have found that most conscious people have a deep appreciation for the sacred space we create together.
