About us
The Village Table Memphis is a social community created for adults of color, primarily ages 35–55, who are looking for something deeper than casual networking and surface-level socializing.
Some of us have reached a point in adulthood where our circles have changed. Friendships have shifted. People have moved, married, divorced, become parents, changed careers, or simply grown in different directions. And somewhere along the way, it became harder to find the kind of community that feels like home.
This group was created for those of us who want to change that.
Once a month, we'll come together and do the kinds of things that make community feel like community: Sunday dinners, game nights, outings around Memphis, cultural events, brunches, movie nights, holiday gatherings, and other experiences that allow genuine friendships to develop naturally.
This isn't a networking group, singles mixer, or dating group. The goal is simple: friendship, companionship, consistency, and belonging.
The Village Table is intentionally centered on people of color in the 35–55 stage of life. Men, women, and people across the LGBTQIA+ community are welcome. We want this to be a space where people can show up as themselves and know that respect is expected.
You do not need to arrive with a friend.
You do not need to be the most outgoing person in the room.
You do not need to have everything figured out.
Just come open to meeting good people and becoming part of something.
There is room at the table for you.
