Michael Altman will teach about the importance of GI health for absorption, immune function, healthy detox, blood sugar balance, and overall long term health. Focus in this results oriented class will be on food choices and herbs to reduce risk of chronic GI discomfort and problems such as IBS and reflux, and associated issues including osteoporosis, asthma, cardiovascular disease, and cancer.

Teacher bio: Michael Altman has been a practicing herbalist and nutritionist for over 20 years helping people with a wide array of health concerns including neurologic conditions and cancer. Michael has a diverse background from farm to field to sea vegetable harvesting and herbal manufacturing. He has researched herbs and natural products and been a health and nutrition instructor at Southern Oregon University and the College of the Siskiyous in northern California and now works and lives in Sammamish, Washington.
