Introduction to Still life Drawings with Colored Pencils

Still life drawing is
the practice of depicting inanimate, non-living objects—such as fruit, flowers, vases, or household items—arranged in a deliberate composition. As of 2026, it remains a foundational exercise for artists to master proportions, light, and shadow.

You will learn how to use colored pencils with your still life drawings.
No Experienced needed. I have been teaching art for 26 years.
This is a class for basic drawing skills as well.
Please bring a number 2 pencil or a drawing pencil.
If you have colored pencils you may bring them
I will bring colored pencils to share.
Paper will also be provided.
I have reserved the meeting room from 6:30-8pm at the Kensington park library.
Guests must be over 50 to attend this event.
