What we’re about

A Sunday morning residency at Resonance: an inner city sanctuary in De Waterkant.
This is an opportunity to intimately gather in silence and tune into our senses in small gatherings.

For individuals looking for a discerning pause, come enjoy the ancient choreography, dialogue and performance of a student of the Daoist arts of old growth leaves and wild resins.

The senses have a subtle way of sharing stories we can't yet articulate. Sundays can now be a new way of worship, to take on new shapes:
A place to bow to the imperfect.
To smile with the eyes and heart.
A tender attempt to enjoy the moral geometry of mastery in progress.
When we sit, we sense our proportion to the universe.
So, come. Sit. Be a servant of the vast universe of possibility. Let us hold one
another in that space.

Let us invite the still into our soma symbiosis.Β
One bowl, one scent, one gaze:
for you.

resonance , 153 strand street, Cape Town, ZA

dear guest,
We are all looking for a quiet that feels orchestral, a quiet where we can listen out for our own nature to reveal itself.
πŸŽ‹
we invite you to see the transience of a new day
feel into the phenomenon of being a body
to sample old growth teas and wild resins
so we can listen to wise mother trees
who bring us back to the beginning.
🌞
A home who has a culture of tea drinkers, knows the length of the steeping makes all the difference to the taste. Just like one who occupies a home comes to know the smell of the trees around them.
🍡
There are many ways to brew a cup of tea. There are many ways we light incense. On Sunday, we perform the Japanese way.
Sip a bowl of old growth leaves and smell wild resins as we sit in silence with one another.
πŸ‘˜
These are learnt arts. A personal practise.
Come and be a guest of the sensory arts.
πŸ‘€
bring your gaze to meet mine
With reverence, we bow
