The way of sunday: a traditional experience of tea + incense
Details
dear guest,
We are all looking for a quiet that feels orchestral, a quiet where we can listen out for our own nature to reveal itself.
๐
we invite you to see the transience of a new day
feel into the phenomenon of being a body
to sample old growth teas and wild resins
so we can listen to wise mother trees
who bring us back to the beginning.
๐
A home who has a culture of tea drinkers, knows the length of the steeping makes all the difference to the taste. Just like one who occupies a home comes to know the smell of the trees around them.
๐ต
There are many ways to brew a cup of tea. There are many ways we light incense. On Sunday, we perform the Japanese way.
Sip a bowl of old growth leaves and smell wild resins as we sit in silence with one another.
๐
These are learnt arts. A personal practise.
Come and be a guest of the sensory arts.
๐
bring your gaze to meet mine
With reverence, we bow
