Western Plateau Roller Coaster, 10 miles/2,000'+

Details
Let's take a romp around Western Plateau in Newbury Park. I usually post this area as an evening hike because there are several 5-7 mile routes. Today, we'll make a longer hike by meeting at Rancho Conejo Playfields, then shuttling a couple of miles to the trailhead.
We'll be on roller coaster ride today:

then up the Arroyo Conejo Trail to the Rancho Conejo Playfields.
At least 6 water crossings on this section (all easy). Only Laurie gets wet on these!
Shuttle Hike: This means we meet at one place, get in as few vehicles as possible, shuttle to the trailhead, hike a one-way route, end where we met earlier. Please make sure your vehicle is ready to shuttle passengers. Thanks!
Terrain: Service roads, single track, rocky trails, water crossings.
Estimated Stats: 10 miles, 2,000'.
Bring: Water, snack, lunch, first aid kit. Trekking poles will help with water crossings.
Wear: Layers, hiking shoes/boots with lug soles (http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-lug-soles.htm). It's tick season & poison oak season, so you may want to wear long pants and sleeves for protection.
Dogs: Sorry, no dogs for this one.
Hike will be rescheduled if there's rain or severe weather conditions like wind/fire.
