If you have volunteered on our trail work days in the past, you know how rewarding it is to improve the parks we use so often. We'll be building a connector trail between Hill Canyon Road and the Lizard Rock Trail (pictured below). All of our groups have used Wildwood Park multiple times- come make this wonderful resource even better!

COSCA (Conejo Open Space Conservation Agency) will oversee multiple agencies and volunteers from hiking and biking groups, as well as local fans of the park, digging, chipping, lifting, and raking a new trail segment. There will be some smaller projects closer to the bridge for families and Scout Troops, so bring the whole gang.

Many of us have done this work before and found it informative as well as gratifying. COSCA is only asking for 4 hours of our time, and I'd like to see the Blazers represent strong!

COSCA provides tools and guidance; you provide gloves, sturdy shoes (your hiking boots are fine), water, sunscreen, hat...anything you'd want for a morning outside. As a bonus, there will be grilled burgers, hotdogs, and veggieburgers, along with chips, drinks, etc, and prize give-aways after the work is done at noon.

Arrive at 7:30 to register, complete a liability waiver form, and receive a bag of breakfast goodies.

Take a morning to give back to the trails that give us so much. Hang out with your friends and whistle while you work.

Note- this is NOT the main Wildwood parking lot on Avineda De La Arboles.

In the event of rain, the event will be next Saturday, the 24th.

Directions:

From the 101 freeway, take exit 52 onto Santa Rosa Road in Camarillo. Drive 5 miles before turning right onto Hill Canyon Rd. The parking is 0.6 miles in, on the right.

From the 23 freeway, take exit 15 onto Avenida De Los Arboles and head west. After 1.3 miles, turn right onto Moorpark Rd, drive 2.6 miles, then continue straight onto Santa Rosa Road. Drive another 3.7 miles then turn left onto Hill Canyon Road. The parking is 0.6 miles in, on the right.
