7 miles~ Los Robles Trail West ~ Intermediate Hike w/ longer 8 mile option

Space Mountain is the name for Los Robles Trail West, starting at Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks and switchbacking up the hill to the west. No one seems to know why it's called Space Mountain, though maybe the Disney ride inspired the name.

We'll hike up towards Angel Vista but we’ll retrace our steps before reaching the newer extension to Angel Vista.

We will hike about 7 miles total with about 1200’ of gain.

Those that wish to hike to Angel Vista will hike about 8 miles with about 1350’ gain.

• No "Plus Ones" on this hike
• Plan on completing the entire hike at an intermediate pace or please find an alternative hike that better suits your hiking level
• No dogs allowed
• All participants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
• As per recent guidance for post-fire recovery, please do not bring or scatter wildflower seeds
