Ride to the source: Makara Windfarm

Let's check out where the power for our eBikes comes from, with a ride to the West Wind windfarm (https://www.meridianenergy.co.nz/about-us/our-power-stations/wind/west-wind) at Makara. From Karori, we'll ride over Makara Hill to Opau Rd and the windfarm. If there's time, we'll detour to the beach and the Makara Beach cafe on the way back. It'll be about 30km, with about 550m of climbing, so ideal for eBikes - just make sure you've got a full charge! Here's a map: http://bit.ly/1QtyYus
