Meetup One Hundred and Thirty One: A Rage in Harlem

Details
Hey team - As we continue our tour through crime and villainy, we travel from the mean (rainy?) streets of LA to the mean (hopefully less soaked) streets of Harlem. We will be reading the first book in Chester Himes' Harlem Detectives series, A Rage in Harlem. Sentenced to jail for armed robbery, Himes started his literary career writing in prison. After his release from prison and his subsequent emigration to France, Himes started writing the detective series that would make his name. Published in 1957, A Rage in Harlem introduces detectives Grave Digger Jones and Coffin Ed Johnson in a searing escapade. What follows next is a story of deception and revenge.
I've found this book available on the shelves of both Book Culture and McNally Jackson, so it seems to be widely available. It's pretty short at ~160 pages. Have fun!
