Hey team - Continuing our theme of exploring author's B-sides, we will be reading William Falkner's novel As I Lay Dying. Published in 1930, the stream of consciousness novel about the death of a family matriarch is often considered one of the best works of American 20th century literature. Narrated by 15 characters over the course of the novel, we witness the death of Addie Bunden and follow her poor family's struggle to have her buried in her hometown in rural Mississippi. Along the way we learn about the both selfish and altruistic reasons her family has for completing this wish.

The first novel we read of Faulkner's was Absalom, Absalom! in 2017. The book is ~260 pages but dense with a lot of characters so it may take you longer than you think.

**Also, due to work commitments I have on both the last Wed of June and first Wed of July, we will be meeting on Tuesday June 30! We will go back to our usual last Wed of the month schedule in July. That just means as extra week to complete this book!**
