FOREST BATHING/SHINRIN-YOKU:
Renewal in nature has been proven on many levels to be one of the most accessible and transformative activities.
This group will do everything involved in this practice with the addition of taking nature photos along the way.
Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is the practice of immersing oneself in nature, particularly forests, to enhance well-being. Techniques involve slowing down, engaging the senses, and cultivating mindfulness to connect with the natural environment. This includes paying attention to sights, sounds, smells, and textures.
EVENT DAY:
Most hikes will simply be the chance to connect with nature and inspire one another's photography.
$0 - $ 20 Cash donation per event. The annual costs to run this group as well as facilitation require donations to persist.
You can also pay online through the group link: PLEDGE. (Also helps me cover the $300/Year Meet Up Fees.)
LETS CREATE TOGETHER:
With this group we learn together, shoot together and share, to inspire our daily creations.
Anyone can wonder, craft and be an artist in our modern world. This accessible act of regeneration combined with artistic creation is a candle wick on which to burn a lifelong passion for photography while collaborating with the natural world. We find ourselves in a time when nature and the planet needs our focus and loving eyes upon her, more than ever.
This artistic practice is a passionate way to renew, inside each day or week. Science supports this activity and all its benefits through the simple act of spending time in nature.
