This Lesbian MeetUp ( Hangin' Out ) attempts to provide a safe place for Lesbian/Gay/Bi/Trans/Queer and Allies to hang out and make some new friends.
It is hard up here in Montgomery County, TX to find like-minded individuals to feel safe and comfortable to be around.
Whether you're coming out, already out, or just want to get out, we know its hard to meet people outside of our everyday life. This meetup is for Lesiban and Lesbian friendly people to socialize and expand their social circles. If you're wanting something different from your usual scene or routine, and are interested in something (or someone) new then signup and join us at an event!
We welcome suggestions for activities, and if you're interested in a leadership role and becoming an assistant or event organizer we're always happy to welcome some new energy and ideas. We're here to meet new people and expand our social networks, so lets do that!
This group is based on anti-oppressive and anti-discriminatory principles, and we will not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind towards any member of the group or the community we engage in. If a member is engaging in harassing / discriminating behaviors, they will be reported to Meet Up and will be permanently banned from this group.
As members of an anti-oppressive anti-discriminatory community, you can actively participate in maintaining a safe environment for all by not engaging in negative banter AND addressing people who do, letting them know that such behavior is not welcomed in this environment.
