The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture -- and Brunch

Details

Join us at the Smithsonian American Museum’s new exhibit "The Shape of Power: Stories of Race and American Sculpture" which examines sculpture’s role in understanding and constructing race in the United States. Across 82 sculptures created between 1792 and 2023 by 70 different artists, visitors can observe historical and modern works that inspire conversation and reflections on how power, identity and race are intertwined.

Let's meet at the G Street entrance (8th and G NW)

For those who are interested, we have a reservation for brunch at Matchbox nearby (1:15). Please let us know if you are unavailable to join for brunch so we can amend the reservation.

We look forward to seeing you there!
Yael and John
