Changing point of view

For those who're new here, we're working through Ursula K. Le Guin's craft guide "Steering the Craft" one chapter at a time. This is chapter 9 called "Indirect narration or what tells". (This is the second-last chapter, we're almost at the end.)

If you haven't joined us for the previous exercises, that's completely fine! You're welcome to still join us for this one.

Agenda
There are exercises in this chapter, and we'll do all of them if time permits.

Prework
Please read the chapter (uploaded here) before the meetup.

If we have the time, we'll be hearing everyone's pieces. Otherwise, we'll work with select volunteers ;) Pen and paper (or writing tablet) works best for this sort of thing, but no stress if you want to stick to laptops.

Tentative Schedule
1. Intros and we discuss the chapter (15 minutes).
2. We spend 20 minutes doing the first exercise in the chapter.
3. We spend 10 minutes discussing our pieces and giving feedback. Sharing is optional.
4. We spend 20 minutes doing the second exercise in the chapter.
5. We spend 10 minutes discussing our pieces and giving feedback. Sharing is optional.
6. We spend 20 minutes doing the third exercise in the chapter.
7. We spend 10 minutes discussing our pieces and giving feedback. Sharing is optional.

Notes
1. This is an English language meetup where we'll be speaking and reading English.
2. Please make sure to order something as we'll be hanging around for a while.

See you there!
