Crowding and Leaping
For those who're new here, we're working through Ursula K. Le Guin's craft guide "Steering the Craft" one chapter at a time. This is chapter 10 - the final chapter! - called "Crowding and Leaping".
If you haven't joined us for the previous exercises, that's completely fine! You're welcome to still join us for this one.
Agenda
There is only one exercise, and it needs to cut down a text. Since everybody might not have a text handy, we'll spend the first half of the meetup writing a narrative.
Prework
As always, please read the chapter (uploaded here) before the meetup.
Pen and paper (or writing tablet) works best for this sort of thing, but no stress if you want to stick to laptops.
Tentative Schedule
1. Intros and we discuss the chapter (15 minutes).
2. We spend 20 minutes writing a narrative. I'll bring prompts!
3. A 5 minute pause.
4. We spend 20 minutes doing the exercise in the chapter.
5. Time to reflect on the book as a whole, and what do we tackle next?

1. This is an English language meetup where we'll be speaking and reading English.
2. Please make sure to order something as we'll be hanging around for a while.
