Topic: Author's Workshop with Ned Barnett
Passcode: 5artz
The Staff@5artz is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
Various topics for Ned Barnett's lineup of 2025 lectures include:
- Using videos on various platforms - you, the author, talking about the book and the reader; and readers, fans, talking about how great the book is
- Tying the book to a cause, and attracting readers who support the same cause
- Using podcasts to promote your book, and how to find podcasts looking for guests like you, and how to keep track of what you know about the podcasts, your various pitches. I have something like a seven-point plan I developed earlier today for a client, that I'll use in presenting this.
- Using an organizing system like Trello.com to keep you on track - it's changed my life, and it can change yours as well (and here's how)
5. Revisiting my idea of "Virtual Platform" - why traditional platforms are worthless, and why a virtual platform really works (because your VP members have "skin in the game")
- Creating news that ties you (an expert because of your book) to a news story - sometimes a story of your own creation - and how to turn that into news media interviews, that like podcasts, have URLs allowing you to present your ideas widely ONCE you get interviewed.
- Why you can't edit your own works, but a few work-arounds if you can't afford a professional editor like me or my wife.
How to make your new book a Best-Seller, get great reviews and market your book even more effectively.
