The Writing Hour is for anyone who loves creative writing and maaaay struggle to hold themselves accountable to finish their projects!
My goal is to have 30ish minutes for discussing our current and future projects, technique, and anything else sort-of related to writing, and then spend a solid hour ACTUALLY writing!

This year we have decided to start our very own, novel-writing challenge for the month of November!
Anyone familiar with [now retired] NaNoWriMo will recognize the format: in the month of November, each participant will attempt to write 50,000 words on either a new project or continuing a pre-existing novel project!So has graciously found a great website for us to use, to keep track of our individual progress!

Another attendee suggested we could up the competition by collecting for a winner’s pool! Any in-person participant is eligible to contribute $10. And at the end of the month, the pool will be evenly divided among all participants to have completed the 50,000 word challenge!
Winner’s Pool buy-in will take place at the November 7th meeting - still open for ideas on how to stash the funds until the end of the month!
To share your stats on TrackBear, after making an account, from your username, click Settings, then toggle the Public Profile switch to “Enabled” this will allow other participants to see your project!
Under Projects, click “+ New” and fill in the details for your project, under “Show on profile?” Toggle on, so all participants can see your project.
If you’re continuing a project that you’ve already started, enter your current word count, if starting a new project leave at zero.
