ZH3 Hash # 1758: And I would lay 100 more
Details
Many moons ago, a young Digit got his feet wet laying his first trail. Armed with the wisdom of 98 further lays (and apparently undeterred by any of them) he believes he’s finally cracked the formula.
The Zurich Hash House Harriers are invited to put that bold claim to the test on the 100th trail, hared by Slippery Digit! Expect every single lesson learned to flow into this magnum opus, guiding you expertly through the streets of Zurich while highlighting every possible way a trail can and WILL go wrong.
After all, a hundred lays should teach a hare something. Whether that something is useful remains a matter for the pack to decide.
Seasoned hashers, come witness the culmination of years of questionable decisions. Newcomers, come discover why we keep following them. No previous experience of being led astray required.
Meet at the Mobility of Church St. Anton for bag drops and pre trail prayers. At this milestone, divine intervention seems a perfectly reasonable precaution.
Expect a mid-length chill sunday trail with an on-after at Nooba, or whoever will have us :)
One hundred trails. One Slippery Digit. What could possibly go right?
Meet at 1:45pm to start at 2:00pm. There will be a charge of CHF5.00 for participating.
Here's what you need to know about the Hash:
• The aim of the hash is to find the beer stop at the end and have fun.
• "True" trail is typically 6-7km.
• The pace within the group varies from dead-slow movers (we call them DFLs) to over-achieving fast runners (we call them FRBs)
• The "hare" cleverly lays the trail so that everyone reaches the end at the same time.
• If you are a slow runner, you will clock around 7kms.
• If you are a quick runner you will clock around 10kms.
• If you are a walker you will be dedicated to the cause, ignore trail and take the shortest route possible to get to the beer.
• There is always a place to deposit your bag and often a place to change.
• There is a charge of CHF5 for participating (and includes beer and snacks).
• If you like fun, drinking and doing something a bit different you will probably enjoy hashing. Humourless people need not apply.
