The International Photo Club of Zurich (PICZ) Meetup

Dear all,

The monthly meeting will take place at the PICZ Photo Studio, Limmattalstrasse 184, Zurich 8049

We would like to invite all attendees to bring one image, book or piece of gear that you can share with the other members.

Also for each meeting we are looking for a volunteer for a 30 minute presentation on a topic of your choice. Please drop a line to Anto if you have the appetite.

Yes, a lady and a gentleman

We will shoot them individually at the beginning to warm up. Then we will shoot them together in a number of sets.

The event fee is 160 chf.

We have two models and a studio to pay for so we might still ask you to pay if you cancel or fail to attend.

### Portrait & Model Direction Workshop with Stefan Rappo

A hands-on workshop with the Swiss, Paris based photographer Stefan Rappo, focused on portrait photography and directing models. Shooting will be done in the studio and outside (weather permitting).

Format: 2-day workshop (non-consecutive)
Dates: Friday 5 June + Sunday 7 June
Total price (for the 2 days): CHF 500

Bonus: On Saturday 6 June, Stefan will be the guest speaker at Photo Laundry.

## What you’ll learn

• Model direction: how to guide, build trust, and get natural expressions
• Creating strong portraits with a clear intention and simple storytelling
• Running a smooth shoot: pacing, variations, and keeping momentum
• Practical communication + posing tools you can reuse immediately
• Image selection/editing basics to build a cohesive set

## Hands-on shooting

Everyone will have shooting time and receive feedback from Stefan.

## What to bring

• DSLR or mirrorless camera
• Portrait lens recommended (approx. 50–105mm)
• Batteries + memory cards

## What is included:

• Several models to allow participants to practice during 2 half days.
• Food and drinks are not included in the price.
