Fun and friendly beer lovers are invited to join the Minnesota Drinking Team at the first ever MNDT SUMMER BEERLYMPICS, on July 5th, 2008.

Part one of this event, is a BBQ and Brew swap, from 4pm-6pm.
Bring a six-pack, or so, of something nice, new, or unusual to contribute to the brew-luck pot, and your favorite BBQ dinner to throw on the grills for yourself (if you'd like to bring a side dish, snack, or dessert to share, that would also be very cool).
If you don't bring food, however, the team will have some turkey dogs, corn, and potatoes to share.

6pm will be the opening ceramony of the Summer Beerlympics!
There will be NUMEROUS beer related events (some you're well familiar with, others are new and unusual), for both individuals, and teams.

The team will provide the first several gallons of MN Made beer, to facilitate the games, but beer contributions from participants, are highly encouraged. *Only people contributing a 12 pack or more to the drinking team, will be permitted beer substitutions in the competitions.

Please wear play clothes and athletic shoes that you don't have to worry about getting wet.

10pm - Closing Ceramony- Fireworks (YES, you can bring some to shoot off....but please only before, or at, 10pm) and awards (There will be Trophies, and many prizes!), followed by Captain Lex's 33rd Beerday party, at the Jesus bar and bonfire.

RAIN OR SHINE!

Camping is allowed. BYOTent and/or blanket-pillow.

As with all Drinking Team Events, our goal is to have fun, and to raise money for worthy causes!

Any financial contributions are appreciated!
Tipping is appreciated (By appreciated, I mean....expected), at the stocked open bar.

Be ready for silliness!
Feel free to bring your cheerleaders, and non-beerloving supporters too, if you want.
There will be a little something for EVERYONE willing to have fun!

NO DRUNK DRIVING. If you brought an automobile, and are drinking, you must be willing to surrender your keys to a key-keeper, and not drive over the legal limit.

ID Required, 21+ to participate.

For map point location, please RSVP in advance to:

Alexis,

Sounds like an interesting & fun party. I like the idea!

With what charity are you associated? (You mentioned "have fun, and to raise money for worthy causes!".)

The Team votes in a new charity every couple months or so.

The last one was the Lymphoma Research Foundation, and this event will be for is going to be for Jassen's Stroke rehabilitation Fund (one of the team leaders' brothers had a serious stroke earlier this year and was in the hospital a few months. He now needs a lot of expensive treatment for his recovery). We want to help him out. Dotantions are at will for this one.....so whatever you can afford to put in the Worthy Cause jar is totally cool! wink
