Let’s wander through Toulouse together and explore the city in new, unexpected ways. These gatherings are an invitation to play without pressure, to see the familiar with fresh eyes, and to transform our surroundings into a living playground for art, creativity, and imagination.
Visitors of the city are wecome too! This is a chance to (re)discover the city through a different lens — one of curiosity, slowness, and creative connection.
👁️🗨️ What to expect
Through creative writing prompts and artistic experiments, we’ll heighten our awareness of the city, uncover hidden details, and discover beauty in the everyday. It’s less about sightseeing and more about sight-feeling — slowing down, tuning in, and finding inspiration in the streets, corners, and rhythms of Toulouse.

We’ll use writing, drawing, and playful exercises to capture what we notice — not to produce “perfect art,” but to open new pathways of perception and expression.

These playdates are inspired by Rob Walker’s The Art of Noticing and rooted in curiosity, collective creativity, and the joy of exploring the world right outside our door.

And what if, just this once, we tuned in to the trees, the textures, the quiet life of the city’s green spaces?✨ The Art of Noticing Toulouse is teaming up with Creative Mornings Running for a special experience in which movement, creativity, and curiosity run side by side.
🏃♀️ We begin in motion
We’ll meet at 7:30 AM at Place du Capitole for an easy-paced run (3K/5K) led by Creative Mornings Running.
No pressure, no competition—just a shared rhythm and the joy of starting the day with energy.🌳 A moment to notice
At 8:00 AM in the Jardin des Plantes for the creative part of the morning, we’ll guide you through three mini creative explorations designed to nourish your senses and awaken your imagination.
You don’t need to “be a writer” or “know how to draw.” All you need is a little curiosity and a willingness to look differently.
It’s a playful way to slow down, reconnect with the natural world, and rediscover your own creative voice.🌞 Who is this for?

✨ What we’ll do
📓 We’ll write — with no pressure, no expectations.
🎨 We’ll draw — no need to know how.
👁️ We’ll notice — slowly, attentively, with a sense of quiet wonder.Among worn-out statues, barely readable names, and symbols whispering of long-forgotten lives, we’ll let ourselves be moved by what surrounds—and stirs—us.
🎨✍️ No writing or drawing experience needed.
All you need is a willingness to be present, to slow down, observe and notice.🕷️ Bring with you:
- your curiosity
- your sense of exploration
- a pinch of courage
- your notebook or sketchbook
- your favorite pen and colors
Basic materials will also be provided.
