Let's Discuss "The Kantian Catastrophe"
Details
The book in the photograph was introduced to the London Philosophy Group via the Reading Group and the Newcastle Philosophy Society at a meeting in November 2017.
The book is interesting to those who are willing to understand Kant by way of the contemporary criticism of working philosophers who provide the reader with many ways in and out of Kant's work some of which may be rewarding and/or salutory.
The intention at this meeting is to consider the book as a possible basis for further discussions based on its introduction and subsequent chapters. That would allow us to discuss Kant, our own ideas about philosophy, independently, and the ideas of philosophers who contributed to the book by considering such concepts as; transcendental idealism, finitude, Kant's legacy and so on, each of which is given a single chapter of around twelve pages of text.
The outcome is of course up to members
