** This meetup will be a little different. Instead of the usual format this meetup will be casual, no set topic. Instead we'll be getting to know each other more, including what perspective we're coming from, specific philosophical interests we have and other (non-philosophical) interests too. Afterwards, we can break into smaller groups if we like, as we like, with no set topic or expectation to even stick to philosophy. A casual social. The topic is chosen for the next session, every session, and serves as a theme for discussion rather than as a formal subject .
Members are invited to pose their own questions or comments at the beginning and at any juncture. The chair of the session will provide a two minute short introduction to the theme at the beginning, and guide discussion where appropriate to ensure everyone has a fair hearing.
The Hoop & Grapes serves teas, coffees, alcohol and food. It has a comfortable function room on the top floor for private discussions and events.
