Language and Reality: An Introduction to the Philosophy of Language
Details
The Examined Life, "Let's Read Philosophy..." session is an open discussion reading group held regularly about once month concerning a single work of philosophy.
For each session, members read a piece of philosophy. The main request is to learn the key concepts from the text (which will form the basis of the discussion), with optional extra background material/depth.

'The format of the meetup will be:
2pm - Free flow discussion explaining key concepts brought up by the text.
2.40pm - Initial free flow discussion with thoughts and critiques of concepts.
3pm - Break.
3.15pm - Going around the group with optional individual uninterrupted input (about 5 minutes each).
4pm - Break.
4.15pm - Final free flow discussion with thoughts and critiques of concepts.
5pm - End of official meetup and if room is still available attendees can stay and continue discussing.
Please note: I believe this text was more ambitious than I realised (at least for those new to the philosophy of language like myself) and so I suggest looking at the contents page of the text and familiarising yourself with what you can (either via the text itself or via online videos and websites).
Concepts like Classical Description Theory, Modern Description Theory, Casual Theory of Reference, Sense and much more are likely to be mentioned. Thanks.
I myself will likely get up to only (including) Chapter 6. Should the text be unsuitable as a basis for discussion on the day, it can be a platform to discuss the philosophy of language in general.
