I've noticed that many people don't have a solid group of friends. Nowadays, dating apps are helping people find friends by adding features for connecting with potential buddies. Just like looking for a romantic partner, the search for friends is moving online.

Are we experiencing a pandemic of loneliness?

How can we make new friends? Is it harder to find friends now then previous decades?

How do we define the term "friend," and can we identify qualities that characterize a meaningful friendship?
