Let's Discuss... Artificial Love
Details
Many people have noticed that AI-based technology has been attempting to mimic human behaviour. In the past few years, AI technology has become convincing enough to be a payable service. As AI advances year by year, it's inevitable that we will soon reach and surpass the point where AI convinces us that it is socially capable of becoming our friend. As social media reduces our face-to-face social interaction and loneliness increases, there will be a gap for AI to become our companion within our loneliness.
Can AI become our long-distance lover? And what should be our ethics on that?
Should we have ethical restrictions on AI friends and partners?
What could be the societal impact if AI becomes widespread? (Good and bad)
