Let's Discuss... Value of human life

Every life is infinitely valuable. However, when it comes to real life, we have to put a limit on the cost we are willing to pay to save someone. This choice is made every day by doctors, firefighters, soldiers, and many others who are in a position to save someone's life.

We also have to consider the value of life when determining compensation after someone's death. This becomes evident in cases of scapegoats and murders with impunity, where the costs are unfairly paid in terms of the value of life. We need to assess this value in various situations, such as when insurance companies have to pay in the event of a car accident or when determining what a murderer must pay for taking someone's life.

What is the value of human life?

Does Value of your life change over your life time?

In case of a life lost should we pay the cost with another life? (life sentence or life in prison)
