Let's Discuss... Civilisation and it's borders!

Details
Much is discussed about "Western Civilisation", however there is intense conflict amongst intellectuals in defining what it is, what it means, and or even what precisely it even refers to. Indeed there has and always has been consistent debate over what a civilisation is, and how one is distinct from another civilisation a couple miles away.
Spengler believed civilisations were approximate to living organisms, which rose, thrived and died over a life cycle of centuries. Toynbee that they carried ideas and systems of culture and governance that served as Operating Systems for the states that formed under them.
What are the differences between Latino civilisation, "Western" Civilisation, Islamic and Indian Civilisation, if any at all?
Are there even any differences, or are these distinctions fabricated and arbitrary?
If there are, do these differences derive from culture, religion, language, history or ideology. Perhaps some more so or less so than others?
Are some civilisations superior to others?
