Cancelled -Sun 17 Dec - Ben A’AN, Trossachs. Medium Walk 7 Miles. 10.30am start.
Details
Will reschedule once weather is better -Ben A'an is one of the most popular amongst Scotland's smaller hills. Often known as the mountain in miniature, its position at the heart of the Trossachs makes it a truly wonderful viewpoint.
Ben A’an is a 454m (1,512ft) high hill situated next to Loch Katrine and Loch Achray. The hill provides a walk suitable with reasonable fitness, However, the final ascent to the summit can be more demanding so we will have breathers along the way and walk at a social pace.
This is a popular walk so to get a parking spot there or nearby we will start the walk at 10.30am and have lunch at the top with super views, so please bring a packed lunch as weather looking ok next Sunday.
Ben A'an car park off the A821. Open start point in Google Maps for directions.
Leave plenty of time to park as you may have to park further along as can be a nightmare at any time. I will be leaving no later from base car park at 10.40am. CP charge £3 so bring some change as card may not work.
Sorry no dogs. No smoking/vaping on route as we are there to enjoy the fresh air.
Walking boots, warm walking clothing, poles optional, refreshments required for lunch break at the top
Please consider your rsvp as unfair on last minute cancellations to those walkers who do want to attend walk and may have to arrange a lift. No shows will be noted and consistent late cancellers will be put back on the waitlist. PM me if any questions.
I do not arrange lifts so please pop on messages to ask and arrange.
Hope to see you there.
