Isle of Arran weekend

An early Spring trip to the Isle of Arran combined with my English walkers will also be attending (20 confirmed already) so please consider your rsvp as timewasters will be removed). It’s a gem of an island with something for everyone, stunning mountains and beautiful coastline. Potentially a walk on Friday PM, weather permitting and Goatfell on the Saturday and a shorter coastal walk on the Sunday. Walks will be posted April 2026.

Arran is easy to get to by train and ferry, or car and ferry but would definitely book in advance. There’s ferry services to Brodick and Lochranza.

Both groups are advised to stay at Lochranza Caravan and Campsite which caters for tents and campervans, online booking possible from Feb 1st. Lochranza hostel is a great little hostel and has availability at time of posting, I would recommend booking this asap as it’s popular. There’s other accommodation all over the island with a limited but reliable bus service.

There’s lots to see and do including the whiskey distillery in Lochranza, bicycle hire in Brodick and wild swim spots. +1's will also need to be members to individually RSVP for the weekend so they also understand the walks they may want to partake in as well.
