Escape the Hustle and Bustle: Embrace Japanese Forest Bathing

In today's fast-paced world, finding moments of tranquility and connection with nature can be a challenge. For those yearning to escape the constant noise of city life, we invite you to join us for a special event designed to help you slow down, rejuvenate, and reconnect with the natural world through the practice of Japanese Forest Bathing, or Shinrin-Yoku.

Event Highlights

  1. Meditation Session: Start your morning with a peaceful meditation session next to the flowing river, allowing the sounds of nature to guide you into a state of deep relaxation and mindfulness.
  2. River Cold Plunge: Experience the invigorating river cold plunge next to the campsites. This refreshing activity has numerous health benefits, including boosting circulation, enhancing immune function, and improving mental clarity.
  3. Bare Feet Walking on the Trail: Embrace the grounding experience of walking barefoot on the trail, connecting directly with the earth and feeling the textures beneath your feet.
  4. Tree Hugging: Feel the calming and grounding energy of the forest by hugging trees along the way, allowing yourself to connect deeply with nature.
  5. Campfire Gathering: In the evening, gather around the campfire to share stories, enjoy the warmth, and reflect on the day's experiences. The crackling fire and the starry night sky will add a magical touch to the end of our journey.

This event is not just about hiking or camping; it’s about stopping to smell the flowers and healing the soul. It is a retreat designed to cater to those who seek gentle, quiet moments and the space to reconnect with themselves. It's also a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded friends who share a love for nature, and mindfulness. By participating in this unique experience, you will gain a deeper appreciation for nature's beauty and learn how to integrate mindfulness and relaxation into your daily life.

To be clear, this is a backpacking backcountry camping style. Participants are expected to bring their own tents, sleeping systems, and cooking gears. Sharing responsibilities is encouraged to foster a sense of community. The hike in and out will be approximately 5 km from parking. There is no comfort facilities but a tunder box with a great view.
