Slow hike, taking photos and smell the flowers!
Join us for a delightful morning as we explore the old forest and celebrate the beauty of Ontario's provincial flower, the Trillium. This guided walk will lead you through picturesque trails where you'll have the chance to admire and photograph the carpet full of elegant white blossoms of the Trillium. It's the Trillium season, and the trail will be in full bloom, providing perfect opportunities for photography. Whether you're a seasoned photographer or simply enjoy capturing nature's beauty, this event is perfect for beginners level who enjoy a slow pace and multiple breaks; taking the time to smell the flowers. It's a leisurely hike that allows everyone to fully appreciate the beauty of the Trillium and the tranquility of the forest.
Photography contest
Capture the best photo of the Trillium during our walk and stand a chance to win exciting prizes! We're hosting a photo contest with the following prizes:
- 1st Prize: $10 Tim Hortons gift card
- Runner-Up: Annual membership to The Adventure Alley
To participate, submit your best Trillium photo taken during the event to ***theadventurealley@gmail.com*** by Friday, May 16, 2025. Winners will be announced on our group page and social media.
Disclaimer:
All photos submitted to the contest must be taken at the event. Any photo submissions that are not taken at the event will be disqualified.
Hike details:
- Distance: 8-10km
- Hike Speed: -3+ km/h
- Difficulty Level: Beginner
- Duration: We have allocated 5 hours for the hike including breaks.
- Dogs: Friendly dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Transportation: Drivers wanted. If you are offering carpool, please post it on the comment section.
What to bring:
- Camera or smartphone with a camera
- Comfortable hiking shoes
- 2L of waters, lunch and snacks, personal needs
- Hiking poles (option)
- Hat and sunscreen, bug spray or bug net

Please note that it is illegal to pick or disturb the Trillium flowers. We encourage all participants to follow the Leave No Trace policy and respect nature by not taking anything from the park and leaving it as beautiful as we found it.
