Join us for a private Intro to Birding class just for Adventure Ladies, led by a naturalist at the beautiful John Bunker Sands Wetland Center.

This beginner-friendly experience is perfect for anyone who has ever been curious about birding but didn’t know where to start.

During this one-hour class, we’ll learn the basics of birding including how to spot birds, identify common species, use binoculars effectively, and understand some of the behaviors that make birds such fascinating wildlife to observe.

After the class, we’ll take a relaxed walk through the wetlands together to practice what we learned and learn how to use the Merlin Bird ID app, an amazing tool that can help identify birds by sight and sound.

Once you know how to use it, you can practice birding anywhere—your neighborhood, local parks, hiking trails, or while traveling.

Binoculars: The center has binoculars available for us to borrow during the class.
No experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a sense of adventure.
Spaces will be limited since this is a private class just for our group.

We can meet and carpool if anyone wants to ride together. The park is about 45 minutes from Plano Walmart by 75.
