Agile Roundabout #11
Enterprise Software and Scaled Agile
We're really excited about February's Agile Roundabout, hosted again by our friends at Valtech in their swanky new Islington offices. We have 2 awesome talks for you - one from Roisi Proven, an Agile Project Manager and passionate Open Source adopter from Creative Software company, Red Badger, and the other from Neil Butler, Head of Agile Transformation and Delivery at EY.
Roisi is passionate about open source and taking the road less travelled when it comes to strategy, and loves evangelising for open-source and custom-built solutions to big business problems.
Neil is the head of Agile Transformation and Delivery at EY. For the 4 years prior to this he was the Programme Director for Modernising Immigration, one of the largest agile programmes in Government.
Agenda
6.00pm Arrival, networking, pizzas and beer
6.30pm Roisi Proven - The Horrors of Enterprise Software
Even in the most agile of organisations, Enterprise software is still the first choice for third parties. However, most are unwieldy, unfit for purpose, and basically everything we don’t need as well as a few things we do. Why and how should we change this?
7.15pm Neil Butler - Implementing Agile at Scale.
Neil was asked to set up the first large-scale agile programme for the Home Office built entirely on the cloud... starting from a position of having no team, no infrastructure and no plan. In this presentation Neil will highlight some of the challenges and successes as well as tips that will help you avoid the same pitfalls.
8.00pm Networking and drinks
9.00pm finish
