Join our fun, hands-on workshop for beginners and discover the exciting world of improvisation, led by an experienced instructor from the Court Theatre in Shoreditch.

This one-day introduction will help you:
• Build Confidence – Break out of your comfort zone in a supportive, friendly environment.
• Boost Creativity and Spontaneity – Explore engaging improv games that spark imagination and encourage thinking on your feet.

Throughout the day, you’ll learn the fundamentals of improv, including scene building and active listening, all through interactive exercises in pairs or small groups. This class is 100% practical—meaning you’ll spend most of the time actually doing improv, not just talking about it!

Your tutor is Dave Bourn –Improvisation & devising tutor at the Court Theatre. Dave has been improvising for over 25 years. He has directed and performed in multiple improv show formats and directed shows by comedians Chris McCausland, Stephen K Amos, Felix Dexter and Phil Nichol. The last of which was also nominated for the Perrier award. He has written for many comedians and sketch shows.
