Details

12-Week Theatre Course - 3rd edition! Every Thursday from March 7th to May 23rd.

Let's explore theatre, movement, performance, and presence together!

This is a practical introduction to the fundamentals of theatre led by two experienced theatre practitioners limited to 12 participants. You will get a solid foundation in various aspects of THEATRE and PERFORMANCE and the chance to boost your creativity while enhancing and developing new skills. We will go through Improv, Stanislavsky, Brechtian, Grotowski, Performance Art and Games techniques as well as facilitation skills. You don’t need to have any prior experience with theatre - everyone is welcome! The only requirement is to commit with the 12-week process and a basic understanding of English - since the the course will be held in English.
Through exercises and improvisations, this course aims to offer you theatre practice in an INCLUSIVE, FRIENDLY and SAFE SPACE. Throughout the course, you would be able to create your own solo performance and share with your friends.

By joining our theatre course you will help us finance and support our ongoing Community Projects, such as the Migrant Women Theatre Collective. Drop us a message if you wish to know more about these projects.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS SAY ABOUT THIS COURSE

> "I loved it and would do it again. Acting for Life❤. Thank you guys!” - Moya (Switzerland)

> "I previously had no theatre experience but was something I always wanted to try. The PLEK team is really enthusiastic, the teachers really love what they do and have a genuine interest in the participants and making the experience and every lesson unique. If you want to meet interesting individuals, have an acting experience and discover more about your self and theatre then join a course. I highly recommend it!" - Archontoula (Greece)

> "Doing the theatre course was a chance to let loose and try something new in a safe and warm environment. I loved the focus on physicality and moving our bodies, working with movement and voice. Working with different facilitators provided an opportunity to experience unique approaches to creating theatre. One of the best parts of the experience was seeing how a group of disparate individuals can grow into a supportive community encouraging each other to take risks." - Sara (South Africa)
