Hi all, my daughter is performing in the ensemble of Starship Edsel this Sunday in the 50 seat de Maat theater at Second City. It's a very campy comedy show, good for some chuckles, whether or not you're a Trekkie.

STARSHIP EDSEL: An Improvised Star Trek Satire
Starship Edsel is an improvised farce set aboard Starfleet’s worst vessel, the USS Edsel. Plagued with mechanical problems and design flaws, and filled with Starfleet’s most problematic personnel, the Edsel was assigned to remain in parking orbit above a vacation planet, ordered to give VIP’s tours of an “authentic Federation Starship.” After an incursion by the Romulan Empire, the Edsel was thrust into the center of a galactic crisis. Starship Edsel follows the ship and her crew on their subsequent misadventures around the galaxy.

TRANSPORTATION
The Second City is a short cab ride from downtown and is two blocks east of the Brown Line Sedgwick stop on the El. There are always plenty of cabs available outside the theater when the shows let out.
Driving Directions:
From 90/94, take the North Ave exit east a few miles to Wells St (200 Block) and make a left on Wells.
From Lake Shore Drive, take the North Ave/LaSalle exit. Follow LaSalle around until you hit North Ave. Make a right on North, then make a right on Wells.
PARKING
Parking is available in the Piper’s Alley Self Park garage. We do not validate parking.
