The Backgammon Club of New Jersey has reinvigorated the enjoyment and social aspect of the game of Backgammon. All levels of skill are welcome including anyone who wants to learn how to play, and available to all ages.  We provide lessons for beginners and intermediate players. (Lessons are limited to members only.) We challenge the advanced players, and enjoy Tournament Play. We boast having USBGF Tournament Winners amongst our ranks.

It is with great pleasure that we continue to attract and increase our membership.

1. Membership is for individuals only. Spouses, etc. need to apply individually.

2. Our Venue is Stagehouse Tavern, 1099 Route 22 (east), Mountainside, NJ 07092. (Please ignore any references to our former venue "22 West".) Please arrive between 5:00 and 6:00pm SHARP. If you are late, you may miss the opportunity to play. Please bring your own board, if you have one. The maitre d' will show you to our banquet area. Order Dinner and Beverage (required) by 6:00pm. Our arrangement with the venue is our players purchase an entree and a beverage. Eating while playing is discouraged.

3. We meet twice a month: the 1st Monday of the month and the third Tuesday of the month, adjusted for holidays. Your RSVP is mandatory in order to secure the room at the venue. Attendance is on a first come first served basis up to a maximum of 18 players. Thereafter you will be put on a waiting list. (If we don't meet a minimum attendance quantity the meet-up will be cancelled.) Please rsvp as soon as possible to secure a position at a table. Maximum 18 players.

4. Please arrive to our meet-up on time between 5:00 and 6:00pm SHARP. If you arrive late you may miss the opportunity to play. Please bring a board if you have one.

5. Friends (Max. 1 per person) are always welcome, however, they need to be members if they want lessons.

6. To join our Club is free for the first 3 months. Thereafter it is a nominal $35.00/year to recover Meetup fees. Thank you in advance.
