“Nururi Puni Puni Pochan”

Currently on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo,
the Rice Brewing Sisters Club (@ricebrewingsistersclub), participating in the exhibition Choreography of the Everyday, will host a Kanten Workshop.
In this workshop, we will dissolve and solidify agar and tengusa (red algae), sharing the sculptural process that leads to small-scale creations. While tasting the works themselves, we will also reflect on the history of Ama (women divers), care practices shaped by the sea, and ecological perspectives.

### Artist Introduction

Rice Brewing Sisters Club (Hyemin Son) @ricebrewingsistersclub
The Rice Brewing Sisters Club expands artistic practice into the concept of “Social Fermentation”, grounded in collaborations and relationships between humans and non-humans, between individuals, and between communities. Their practice spans visual art, performance, writing, and oral history. Since 2018, the collective—led by Hyemin Son, Hyunjin Shin, and Soyoon Yoo—has renewed its membership annually.

PNU SSK Living with Slow Disaster (Kyunghye You) @openspacebae
As a curator at Openspace Bae, an alternative art space in Busan, Kyunghye You also runs the project space Hello Artist. Her work focuses on the intersections of life and art, and the collaborative possibilities art fosters in everyday contexts. She explores how art responds within daily life, while also researching the creative environments of neurodiverse artists and the institutional conditions surrounding them.
As part of the Slow Disaster Research Team, she investigates how the concept of “slow disaster” can be interpreted and shared within cultural contexts, and how it may expand into artistic and social practices.

Rice Brewing Sisters Club (Hyemin Son) @ricebrewingsistersclub
ライス・ブリューイング・シスターズ・クラブは、人間と非人間、人間同士、人間とコミュニティ、コミュニティ同士の協働と関係性に基づく芸術的実践を「社会的発酵（Social Fermentation）」という概念へと拡張し、美術、パフォーマンス、文章、オーラルヒストリーなどを横断する活動を行っている。2018年以降、Hyemin Son、Hyunjin Shin、Soyoon Yooを中心に活動しており、毎年メンバーシップを更新するクラブである。

釜山のオルタナティブスペース「Openspace Bae (オープンスペース・ベー)」にてキュレーターとして活動し、プロジェクトスペース「Hello Artist」を運営している。生活と芸術、そして芸術を通じた協働の可能性に注目し、芸術が生活とどのように関わるのか、その中で生じる応答を探求している。また、神経多様性をもつ作家たちの創作環境や、それを取り巻く制度的条件に関心を持ち、関連するスタディを続けている。一方、「スロー・ディザスター研究チーム」では、「スロー・ディザスター」という概念が文化的文脈の中でどのように解釈・共有され、芸術的・社会的実践へと拡張され得るのかを模索している。
