Alexey is a leading figure in the data processing world with 16 years of experience in data-intensive applications. He began developing ClickHouse in 2009 and made it open source in 2016. Before ClickHouse, he was instrumental in building the data processing engine for the world’s second-largest web analytics system.

In 2021, Alexey co-founded ClickHouse Inc. with two partners. Now, he's focused on enhancing the platform’s capabilities and optimizing performance. ClickHouse Inc. raised a $50M Series A announced in September 2021, followed closely by a $250M Series B.
