The Critiquery offers free, facilitated critique groups for prose writers of all genres and lengths on ZOOM.

Whether you're polishing a novel, starting a memoir, or just trying to write more consistently, you're welcome here.
✔️ No cost.
✔️ No ego.
✔️ Just real feedback, from real writers.
All groups meet online via Zoom and are led by trained facilitators who keep the space respectful and focused.

To join, email us at **thecritiquery@gmail.com**

✍️ Who is this for?
Writers of all experience levels are welcome.

📚 What kind of writing is welcome?
We accept prose of all types: literary fiction, speculative fiction, memoir, flash fiction, novel chapters, personal essays, and more.
At this time, we are not accepting poetry.

🧠 What does the critique actually look like?
Each group is moderated by a trained facilitator who keeps discussion on track and makes sure the tone matches what the writer is looking for.

Submissions are made 3-5 days prior to meeting on Tuesday. The entire group (usually 5–12 people) focuses on one writer's submission for a full hour.

Writers can request the type of feedback they want, whether it’s critical, supportive, or something in between. Submitting writers are also welcome to jump in during the session to clarify or redirect discussion in real time. The goal is simply to give the writer what they need to keep writing and get better.

🗓 How do I join ?
Just email us at **thecritiquery@gmail.com** to get started.
We currently offer two remote groups every week Tuesdays at 7pm (PST) via Zoom.

📝 Do I have to submit to participate?
Not at all. You’re welcome to attend as a reader and contributor first. Many of our returning members started by just listening and learning.

😅 What if I’m nervous?
That’s completely normal, especially the first time. We’ve built these groups to be safe, constructive spaces for growth. Whether you're shy or outspoken, you’ll find your place.
